Centennial Tour...
Even though today is the 100th anniversary of the NYC subway system, I sure had a tour de underground this morning. The day started out as usual and then the "A" train stopped at the 145th Street Station. It stood there for a good 5 minutes until we were informed that there was a sick passenger on the train. So some people got off the train and kept an eye out for the downtown "D" train on the lower level. It was almost comical. The "D" train came and about 10+ came flying down the stairs including myslef to squeeze on a downtown D train.
I then too that to 59th Street to transfer to the #1 train. I thought to myself with my "subway socks" on that I did get a chance to ride on some 100+ year old track today.
